Untappd – Drink Socially

Check out this great explainer video that Hop Cast’s very own Brad Chmielewski put together for Untappd with John Filipkowski. For those of you that don’ know, Untappd is a way to socially share with your friends what beer you’re drinking and where you’re enjoying it. If you look closely you might notice a couple Hop Cast shout-outs and be sure to keep checking-in to those beers to earn the Hop Cast badge.

The HopCast Untappd Badge

We are very excited to be partnering with Untappd to launch the HopCast themed badge.

So how to you get the HopCat badge?

To earn the HopCast badge all you need to do is followHopCast’s activity on Untappd and enjoy at least three different beers that we’ve checked in to in the last 30 days. Sometimes those are rare gems from the cellar and sometimes they are “easy” to find local beers. Untappd and the HopCast would love to know which three beers you drank to earn this badge, so be sure to tweet them at @hopcast and @untappd.

Hop Cast – Episode 132: Untappd

In episode 132 of the Hop Cast, Ken Hunnemeder and Brad Chmielewski sit down with Untappd co-founder Tim Mather to talk about his highly successful service and craft beer. The three of them open a couple beers that Ken and Brad picked up at a corner liquor store in Santa Monica. The first one is the Highway 78 Scotch Ale which is a collaboration ale from Stone Brewing, Green Flash and Pizza Port. They follow that beer up with the Islander IPA from Coronado Brewing. While the three of them taste these great beers they talk about Untappd and what Untappd has planned for the future. Be sure to follow Ken and Brad on Untappd and keep up with what they are drinking. Thanks for watching the Hop Cast.
